Property Administration

The primary responsibilities of Property Administration include the following:

  • Accounting & reporting for the University’s capital assets including land, buildings, infrastructure, equipment, and project construction costs.
  • Identifying and monitoring records of capital equipment including tagging capitalizable moveable equipment.
  • Providing institutional reporting services to the University and other agencies including federal sponsors (i.e. NASA, DoD, etc.).
  • Coordinating physical inventories of the University’s capital equipment.

  • GovDeals is a service used by the University to auction surplus equipment and assets. This service is administered by WVU Tech Facilities Management and the Tech Business Office.  If a department has equipment that it would like to surplus, please fill out the surplus/disposal form and contact Connie Oswald with the Tech Business Office.
